Apartment for Rent in Mardid

Hi! I'm currently choosing my options between Madrid hotels and Madrid apartments in preparation for my stay in Madrid for a few weeks. Friendly advices have been telling me that since I'll be covering just a few weeks I might as well stay in hotels in Madrid and pay for lodging per day; whereas apartments are for longer-term lodging and minimum to one month, which means I'll have to pay for one month regardless of the duration of my stay. Is that true? I need your help with reviews. Thank you so much!
